Our next session of Messy Church is on Friday 8th August starting at 2pm until 4pm at St James’ Church Lower Penkridge Road, Acton Trussell ST17 0RJ.We’ll be thinking about picnics on the beach- sounds good, so book your place very soon (details on the flyer). Best to wear play clothes as we hope to be outside part of the time. As usual children to be accompanied by an adult and grandparents are especially welcome as it is a working day for some.Here’s to a fun session with picnic snacks at the end- hope to see you on Friday 8th Aug.

Thanks to all who took the time to count the wonderful world of nature at St James churchyard recently. The jackdaws currently nesting in the tower were on everyone’s list.As well as people from the villages taking part in the count, there was a lovely recording sheet from a ‘Visitor passing through’ who,as well as listing what he/she spotted , made the comment ‘Lovely peaceful walk round your churchyard-thank you’Many thanks to all who took part.
