Lower Penn S.Anne

St Anne's is a small church in the village of Lower Penn. It is a sister church of St Bart's in the Parish of Penn and was founded in 1888 by the generosity of a resident of the village. Regular informal all-age services are held every Sunday, and all are very welcome. We especially welcome any who have additional needs or who value a shorter and simpler style of worship

St Anne's congregation meet for coffee before the service. There is a simple order of service with old and newer songs. As we have no musicians we are accompanied by music tracks, but still enjoy a good sing! Our sermons either follow through a bible book, or take a theme for several weeks. We try to include themes in keeping with our rural setting, such as "Lambing Sunday". Children are welcome and we can provide colouring activities for them, but our talks are suitable for wide age range.

Safeguarding

The parish of St Anne's Lower Penn is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). The Diocese of Lichfield’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advises PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services. Our Parish Safeguarding Officer is Pauline Hollington who can be contacted on 07881 911107.
