Each time there is a delivery of Compass Magazines for the Mid-Trent churches from the printers, I receive a phone call to come and collect the 190 magazines to be delivered in the Sandon and Burston area. My husband Nigel and I go to Weston church and pick them up, then break them down for delivery to the Compass distributors. First of all, to Janet and Robert Selby for passing on to the Burston team. Simon Shelley is next for delivery to the people living in the heart of Sandon Village.

Then on to Maureen Shone for giving out to people on the Sandon Estate, not forgetting to leave some with Leanne at the village shop. We deliver to Maureen Finlay who does the distribution to people in the Stone area. Eventually we set off on our own small round starting at the Dog and Doublet via the outlying farms as far as Oaktree Farm before leaving the remainder at the church for the congregation and visitors. It would not be possible to deliver all these magazines without the goodwill and willingness of the team of Compass Distributors. As we start 2026, I would like to express my appreciation for their help without which it would not be possible to achieve. Thank you so much! Margaret Wilson
