The conservation of rare heritage features is finally complete.

We are delighted to see the return of the Royal Coat of Arms which is looking magnificent displayed against the newly painted north wall.

It has been a fantastic summer of memorable activities at All Saints’, the highlight of which was the “Time Travellers” event on the 1st August. The church was taken over by historical characters from the History Reenactment Workshop, who reenacted a day in the church’s life in 1549. Sandon’s own History Group members appeared as costumed characters from a variety of periods between medieval times and WW2.

The Military Vehicle Trust brought a selection of fabulous WWII vehicles. Families took part in crafts. The Little Moreton Singers concert of medieval choral music added to the hugely enjoyable day.

On Saturday the 12th September over 100 audience members were entertained by the Stafford Military Wives choir who performed a wide range of wonderful songs. Our popular village history walk returns on Sunday the 4th October, leaving church at 2-00pm with refreshments served after the walk.

There be a free family crafts event in church at half term on the 27th October 10-00am until 12-00noon. The Butterfly and Moth trail will remain until the end of that week.

The church will be open each Sunday from the 25th October to the 22nd November at 1-30pm until 4-00pm to admire the Knit & Natter group’s display of 2,000 poppies. We will also be open on the 11th November, Remembrance Day, from 10-00am until 12-00noon, when we will observe the two minute silence and ring half-muffled bells.
