Sometimes the best remedy for a grey day is something to look forward to in the open air.
This spring, Sarah Emery will be leading a small series of gentle well-being walks through our woods and farmland. These will be slow, unhurried walks, with time to pause, notice the landscape around us, and enjoy being outdoors together.
The first walks are intended for adults and older teenagers rather than young children, so everyone can fully relax to enjoy the experience.
The dates are: Sunday 26th April, 2-00pm to 4-00pm (under 2 miles)
Friday 1st May, around 7-30pm (under 2 miles), a lovely walk into the evening to watch the sunset.
Sunday 10th May 10.00am — Rogation Sunday “Beating the Bounds” (approximately 5½ miles)
The Rogation Walk follows the old parish boundaries and has become a much-loved local tradition — this will be the ninth year of walking it.
All walks begin and end at the Village Hall.
Irene has very kindly offered to provide refreshments afterwards — hot drinks and homemade cakes on 26th April, a simple supper of Mac 'n Cheese on 1st May, and something rustic for Rogation.
