During Lent we will be holding a Lent Course on Zoom, every Thursday between 6 and 7pm. There will be 6 sessions each week on Thursday, starting on 6th March. Do come and join us online!
The subject of the Zoom Lent Course is Bishop Guli’s book: ‘Cries for a Lost Homeland, Reflections on Jesus’ Sayings From The Cross’. We will discuss a chapter each week. We can provide the chapters for you so you do not have to buy the book unless you want to. For more info please see the attachment.

Hungarton: St John the Baptist

We serve the small village of Hungarton which has a population of around 289 and is located about 10 miles (16 km) north-east of Leicester and 13 miles (21 km) south-west of Melton Mowbray. Our parish includes the estates of Quenby Hall. Baggrave and Ingarsby. The village features in the 1086 Domesday Book as Hungretone. Our church is ancient although it was restored in 1851, and consists of nave, chancel, and S aisle, with porch and lofty spire.

We form part of the Benefice of Coplow, and are within Launde Deanery Minster Community. We have occasional services, more frequent services are held at the other churches within the Coplow Benefice (see the newsletter available via this page) and elsewhere within the Launde Deanery Minster Community (at Welcome to the Launde Deanery Minster Community Website – see Service Times tab).
