The Hermitage team of churches is once again running this Oxford Diocese Lent course.

Join us as we celebrate Palm Sunday - Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem and the start of Holy Week.

We meet in the Swan pub carpark at 9.00 am and process to the church behind a pony (?). After blessing of the palms outside the church, we have a sung Eucharist service at 9.30 am with activities for young people.

A chance to stop and think about the meaning of Easter - this will be following the pattern of a Compline service..

Quiet prayers in Compton church to reflect on the events of the night before Good Friday.

Maundy is derived from the Latin word for "command," and refers to Jesus' commandment to the disciples to "Love one another as I have loved you."

Our traditional quiet and reflective service with a dramatic reading of the Passion Narrative: Jesus' arrest in the garden of Gethsemane to His crucifixion on Good Friday, There will be singing from the Questors.

Meet at church and follow the story of Easter from Good Friday to Easter Day, told at locations from the church to the village hall.

Finishing with FREE pop-up cafe and a puppet show by the Parababble puppet group in the village hall.

After this event, there will be an Easter egg hunt!

Meet at the top of Church Road at 6.15 am for 6.20 am start - short service of songs, prayers and reading.
Sunrise is at 6.32 am so we hope to be singing as it rises!

Meet afterwards for bacon butties and hot cross buns at Eastoke, Ilsley Road

Common Worship service for all ages.

Celebrate Easter day with us!! Followed by refreshments.
