Occurring
for 1 hour, 30 mins
Venue
Compton: St Mary & St Nicholas
Address

Organised by the local bellringers, this is a unique opportunity to see what goes on in the ringing chamber at Compton.
There will entail a brief talk on Compton's church bells, a description of how church bells are rung and a chance to go up the tower to the ringing chamber and perhaps even ring a bell yourself under supervision.
The ringing chamber is an active working area and access is via a narrow difficult staircase; unsuitable for children under 11 years. Hopefully activities in the chamber will be streamed to a screen below!
All welcome; drop in anytime between 2.30 and 4.00 pm.
Interested in bellringing? This is an opportunity to speak to our local team.
Refreshments will be available.
There will be a sales table for church funds.
