This is an opportunity for anyone who likes singing Christmas carols to join forces with other enthusiasts to have fun in a very informal and relaxed atmosphere to sing in harmony for those who can. If harmony is not for you, then please feel free to join in singing the tune. Everyone is welcome and, should you want to extend your stay, we plan to join forces with visitors who have come to the finale of the Christmas Tree Festival in church and sing some popular favourites. This will last around 30 minutes or so. Refreshments are included, with mulled wine and mince pies. The cost is £10 and proceeds will go to church funds. Please bring a green Carols for Choirs if you have one, and there will be a separate booklet available containing most of the carols. This event is suitable for people of all ages, so please encourage children to join us. Children under 16 can come with an accompanying adult for free.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Aldwick: St Richard is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and aim to have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO) - as soon as we can recruit an appropriate person to this role. Our Diocese of Chichester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises each PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm, whilst we are without our own PSO, please contact our Rural Dean Rev Paul Armstead, or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor Colin Perkins. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
