My dear friends,

I was left a “gentle nudge” before Ange went away that the July News was due for publication and I had not prepared the copy. My first apology is therefore for any typos in the paper version, they are because it has not had Ange’s proofing!

The second apology is that after I had prepared the notes and picture of S Bridget of Sweden, as I pasted in the monthly kalendar I noticed that I had not been able to secure a celebrant for the Mass that day: watch the Sunday Bulletin for updates!

On a similar theme you will note that there are no Masses planned for the week beginning July 27th: that is deliberate in that it is the week of the Wagner Group Pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham.  If you are not able to be with us for this pilgrimage, please remember us in your prayers: furthermore if you would like to be prayed for in the Holy House, and if you wish us to remember a relative or friend in need or departed please give me their names.

There are two school events to which I would draw your attention. The first is the Year 6 Show to be held in Church on Monday 14th at 6.30pm and the second, the Leavers Mass to be celebrated on Thursday 17th at 9.30am: your support for these would be much appreciated.

Lastly we are invited to join our friends at S Paul’s for their ‘Summer Festival’ on July 5th and mid-day: just a pity about the preacher!
