5th Jan - Information about services during National Lockdown

From_the_Vicar Community_news Notices

Dear Friends

Firstly, may I wish you all a Happy New Year! – although with the lockdown, many of you may be wondering what is ‘happy’ about it so far!

As Priest-in-Charge of the Parishes of Chidham & Funtington with West Stoke and Sennicotts, I wanted to write and let you know that there will indeed be some changes to our services over the next few weeks and beyond through to Easter. None of us can fully know, at this stage, how long the lockdown will be imposed upon us. What we do know is that communal worship has been allowed to continue in the same shape it was before we entered Tier 4.

With this in mind, I am meeting with the Churchwardens on Wednesday 6th to discuss what our services will look like leading through to Easter. I will also be having regular ‘zoom’ coffee mornings and the services I take will be, (technology permitting) be filmed and/or livestreamed so that people can still join the services from the comfort of their own home. All of these details can be found initially on The Website called ‘A Church Near You’.
