Update on our Christmas Services

We have been reviewing the arrangements for our carol services. As you are aware, singing by the congregation is not permitted and with a congregation in church we are asked to limit the number of singers in the choir. We have therefore reluctantly decided that in order to provide a meaningful and suitably joyful experience it is better to stream and record the service using a larger choir and providing the opportunity for people to sing along at home.

The service will be streamed on Facebook on Sunday 20th. December at 16.00 and available to view thereafter. A copy of the order of service is also sent out with this newsletter so that you can sing along. You will also be able to follow the service on the overhead screen.

You will of course have an opportunity to sing at 'Carols around the Crib', in the Molson Garden at 16.00 on Christmas Eve. No booking required.

As you can see the Nativity awaits us for our carol singing on Christmas Eve in the Molson Garden.

Wrap up warm and bring a torch. Hot chocolate and mince pies will be served.

Encourage the children in your family to follow the Nativity Story this week on Facebook and visit the Molson Garden to see the Nativity Tableau.

We have paused our publication of Goring Parish New while we review our means of communication across the parish. We will in the New Year be asking for your thoughts and ideas. So next week’s Newsletter will be a bumper Christmas edition and include the articles received this quarter.
