Over the weekend of 20/21September we gave thanks for the Harvest.

On Saturday 20th we celebrated with a Hog Roast, in a barn on Copyhold Farm, Lagness, thanks to the hospitality of Stephen and Amanda Cox-Rusbridge.

More than 60 members of the church family of all ages, came together to enjoy a celebratory meal of Roast Pork and Salad, followed by crumbles and pies using the abundant autumn fruit from our gardens. This was an opportunity to relax and enjoy one another’s company and to recognise how lucky we are to be able to enjoy such wonderful produce. Profit from the meal was donated to Bishop Ruth’s Diocesan Harvest Appeal

On Sunday Morning we gave thanks for the Harvest and to all those who produce our food. The church had been beautifully decorated and was full of colour. As part of the service there was a collection of goods to be donated to the local foodbank, and at the end of the service there was a collection in aid of Bishop Ruth’s Diocesan Harvest Appeal for Friends of the Holy Land. https://www.friendsoftheholyland.org/appeal/harvest-appeal2025
