As August draws to a close, we reflect on another busy and heartening morning at the Church Pantry. Over July and August, we distributed an incredible 595 bags of food—an increase from 547 during the same period last year. This rise reminds us of the vital role the Pantry continues to play in our community. Each week, we welcome new families who find themselves in need of a helping hand. It’s a privilege to offer support during these challenging times. Equally encouraging is the number of familiar faces who no longer need our help—having weathered their difficult season and regained stability. Thank you to everyone who contributes time, donations, and kindness. Your generosity makes this work possible and ensures that hope is always within reach. If you are able to help with a small donation, this week we are short of milk, squash, jam, tinned fruit and tinned vegetables. The Pantry Team
We are so pleased that we have been awarded the Bronze Eco Church Award Certificate
At last, summer is here — and we hope it lasts through the school holidays! As always, we are so grateful for all that you do to support FSW. Your support really does make a difference. As we look ahead to our summer activities, we hope there will be something for everyone we support. Once again, we’re holding family days with BBQs and plenty of fun activities, as well as quieter days for those who find the busier events a bit overwhelming. With four centrally organised events and nearly every practitioner planning activities in their own areas, it promises to be a full-on summer! If you’d like to get involved as a volunteer, please do let us know — we can always find a job for you!We won’t be sending a newsletter in August, so I’ll take this opportunity to wish you a very happy summer. I hope you and your family have a lovely time.Best wishes,Martin and the FSW Team
