The rain held off for our early Church Pantry session on Wednesday. Sarah from the Energy Efficiency team at Arun Council was with us to help our visitors find ways to reduce their energy costs. Sarah chatted with people over coffee and croissants. Jenny and Linda had a great selection of clothing from Willow and Eve for Pantry users to choose from. Next week we have a first visit from the Social Prescribers, who offer support around wellbeing and community connections. If you are able to help us restock our cupboard's we are short of milk, microwave rice, sweetcorn, table sauces and toilet rolls. Thank you so much for your support each week. The Pantry Team
We are so pleased that we have been awarded the Bronze Eco Church Award Certificate
Thank you so much for all that you have done over the past year. The generosity of our supporters in the run-up to Christmas was, as always, amazing, with so many donations given to help families celebrate Christmas. As we return and face the realities of the New Year, I know that FSW, like many of us, will continue to experience challenging times, with funding becoming tighter and the needs of families growing.I hope that together we can continue to ensure that families and children across Sussex who need FSW are able to receive the support they deserve, as we work together for the future of children and families.I know it is only a couple of weeks since Christmas, but I would ask you to keep an eye out for emails from FSW over the coming weeks as we prepare to launch our Lent appeal. We won’t be asking you to give anything up, but instead to consider taking something on, so that together we can continue to support families and anyone who needs FSW.With my very best wishes to you for 2026,Martin and the FSW Team
