Night of Lights is a time of remembrance connected with All Souls Day when we remember those who have died.
As we approach All Souls Day, we invite you to join us for a special service
Come and light a candle, or several, in memory of someone you love who has died. As the candle is lit, we remember their life, give thanks for the love we shared, and place them into God's loving care. You are welcome to come , whether your loss is recent or many years ago. The service begins at 6pm and candles can be collected at 7pm. When lit the candles can either be placed in the churchyard or in the church depending on weather conditions. The memorial candles have a protective lid and a seven day burn time and will be relit until they burn out.
Christ is the light of the world!

Saint Andrew's

St Andrew's Church serves the local community of Tarring. We are located at the heart of the most historic part of Worthing, a mile or so from the West Sussex coast and only a short distance from West Worthing train station.

St Andrew's is a beautiful church where the Christian faith has been celebrated for over 800 years, holding a deep connection to the thriving village community. We believe in the transforming love of Christ and the joy of walking this journey in fellowship with one another.

St Andrew's is part of the Benefice of Maybridge and West Tarring, which also includes St Richards.

Now that you have found us, have a look at the services and events we have taking place soon.

Everybody is welcome!

Safeguarding

St Andrew's is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Chichester's safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO (Frances Spencer) or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority's children or adult social care services.
