Easter

Dear Friends,

Easter is nearly upon us and although we cannot be together to celebrate I do hope you will join me over the coming days as we keep the pattern of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday being special days of worship, reflection and prayer.

I shall continue to lead morning prayer live streamed via our Facebook page everyday at 9.00am. In addition please join in with the following as you are able:

Maundy Thursday

8.30pm Live streamed reflection via our Youtube Channel, All Saints Church Loughborough followed by an invitaiton to keep the Watch. To join with me and others during the Watch via Zoom use the following link:

Details of how to join in the Watch at home are in the attached notes.

Good Friday Meditation

Music, readings and poetry put together by our principal organist Simon Headley. Available on our Youtube Channel from 10.00am.

Holy Saturday

I invite you to use the simple vigil service in your homes that Revd Emily has put together leading us from the darkness of Holy Week to the promised light of Easter morning. If you don't have any candles at home you can use a torch. See the service sheet attached.

Easter Sunday

Once again there will be Little Saints worship from 10.00am and a Communion service from 10.30am on our Youtube Channel specially recorded and uploaded for us all all to watch together as we proclaim Christ is Risen!

I would love to share virtual Easter Eggs with you after the service via Zoom, click on this link after the service to join with others:

And if the thought of all that technology fills you with fear rather than joy please don't worry. Simply read the resurrection stories in the Gospels and give thanks to God that when Jesus was raised from the dead, God defeated the power of sin and darkness and the Easter light shines in the darkness of this world.

Yours in Christ

Revd Wendy
