Dear Friends,

Sunday Services and things coming up......

Here is my regular round up of what is happening at All Saints. Following on from my extra email yesterday I am pleased people are already using the new [email protected] email address to get in contact about prayer requests for our daily service of Morning Prayer led on Facebook. Please do make use of this as we continue to pray for one another.

Tomorrow our service will be live streamed on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNymtzHV8G_EfZprXch9RIg. The feed usually goes live around 10.15am. A reminder that we would like to expand the team of those involved with operating the live stream equipment so that we can offer this for all our services from the church building. Please do get in touch if you would be happy to learn how to do this.

Revd Emily will be presiding and preaching tomorrow and the adult choir will be singing. The readings are:

Exodus 33.12-end, 1 Thessalonians 1.1-10 and Matthew 22.15-22

For those coming to the church building please remember hands, face and space! Our team of stewards are doing a wonderful job of looking after us all, please follow their instructions.

Wild Worship

Emily is exploring the possibility of leading an outdoor all age worship service on the parish green once a month. If you would like to know more or get involved please have a chat with her tomorrow or drop her a line on [email protected]

Dustbusting on Saturday

With the chancel restoration project now underway and our building closed Monday to Friday we really do need to gather some willing people to help hoover and dust on a Saturday morning. Penny White has done a fantastic job of staying on top of church cleaning in covid secure ways and is happy to now move her weekly dust busting to Saturdays at 9.30am. Can you come along and help her? Please just bring your enthusiasm any Saturday morning. With many hands it can be done in half an hour or so which will mean those wishing to visit for prayer from 10.00am are free to do so uninterrupted.

Loughborough Streets of Light

Loughborough Churches Partnership is inviting us to take part in this initiative to spread a message of light through decorations in our windows during the week of 26th October. Do take a look at the website and think about taking part and if you do make a decoration let us know too.

I am having a week's leave from tomorrow, hoping to do some autumnal walking and make my Christmas pudding although sadly not with my grandson as planned due to covid restrictions. As the nights draw in and we all face disappointments and frustrations of things not being as we would like them to be, I do hope you are able to find little moments of joy and hope in the small things of life each day. For me this evening it is the launch of Strictly Come Dancing! But of course it also too knowing that I am part of an inclusive, creative and prayerful Chrisitan community.

Yours in Christ

Revd Wendy
