At St Simon and St Jude’s you will find a church family made up of all different ages, who enjoy spending time with each other. We aim to make all our services as welcoming as possible for children, young people and families. At the end of each service, you are welcome to stay for refreshments.
You may feel cautious about coming along to church with young children, not quite knowing what to expect, and whether the children are going to be too noisy! Don’t worry, come and join us! For the little children we have a children’s area with toys, books and colouring.
We are aware that children and young people may have particular needs, especially if they are neuro-diverse, so do let us know if we can help find ways in making it easier for them and you to come along.
We have a toilet with baby-changing facilities, and it is also accessible by users of wheelchairs.
We also value our links with St Simon and St Jude’s (CofE) Primary Academy and Townlands (CofE) Primary Academy, the two Church of England primary schools within Earl Shilton.
As a church, we are a group of ordinary people who want to learn how to love God and follow Jesus, and to support and encourage one another along the way, and you are most welcome to join us in this adventure.
Below is some more information about some of the activities that particularly relate to children, young people and families.
