Wrap Up Tameside is part of the wider Wrap Up UK initiative. Their aim is to collect winter coats, fleeces, scarves, hats and gloves for distribution to charities supporting people across the UK who struggle to keep warm during the winter months.

The local campaign, being organised by Dukinfield and Stalybridge Rotary Club, runs during October and early November with all the items collected being donated to Tameside Women’s Centre and local homeless projects.

Coats must be warm and suitable for the winter.

Club President (Martin Daglish) comments "As residents struggle with the cost of living crisis we are very keen to offer support to local families struggling to keep warm in their homes. Last year the club dropped off over 200 winter coats at the Tameside Women's Centre and provided a further 150 coats for local Homeless projects from the Wrap Up Tameside Campaign. These were distributed to individuals and families who were in desperate need of a winter coat."
