At the heart of the worshipping life of the Cathedral is our Eucharist with choral music sung by our renowned Choir. Outside term-time we welcome many visiting choirs from around the world who take up residence and sing our services; if there is no choir we use a congregational mass setting with hymns.

The service brings together the Cathedral community as well as our many visitors from all over the world, combining inspiring liturgy, insightful preaching and glorious music and is also regularly livestreamed.

Welcome to Chichester Cathedral. This magnificent Cathedral, whose spire dominates the horizon for miles around, is Mother Church to the parishes of Sussex has welcomed people through its doors for over nine centuries. This beautiful building, and its services and events, are open to all.

Safeguarding

The Dean and Chapter are committed to the protection of children and vulnerable adults visiting the Cathedral, the Cathedral Choristers, and those attending services as well as any Employees, Trainees and Volunteers.

There are seven people at the Cathedral (two clergy, four staff, and a volunteer team leader) who work closely with the Cathedral Safeguarding Officer and are specially trained and available to talk to anyone who has a safeguarding concern about a child, young person or any adult who may be at risk.
