All are welcome in our lovely church. Feel free to explore, to worship with us,or simply to find a place of quiet reflection. We have no expectations of those who come, other than that they feel welcomed, accepted and loved. Holy Cross And St Mary Church, dates back to the 14th century, and you will find many interesting features inside, including the recently restored Dormer Monuments. On entering the church, you are stepping back through centuries of history, where people have prayed, worshipped and found peace, love, hope and faith. You are also walking into a sacred space, offering both traditional and contemporary expressions of worship, and where people from all backgrounds gather to build a loving and meaningful community that seeks to love God and to love neighbour, putting faith into action.
The Church of St. Martin, Dunton, Bucks, serves a tiny village with a small population, so rather than conducting regular weekly services we function as a ‘Festival Church’: marking significant events in the church calendar (Easter, Christmas, Harvest, Martinmas etc.) with an appropriate service. We also aim to make each service an ‘event’ with the church at its centre, but often with additional elements - such as a village bonfire and beef feast for Martinmas, or a Harvest Supper in the church. You are most welcome to join us for any of our services and events.
