St James is a Church of England presence in the heart of Cobbydale. We are in the Bradford area of the Leeds Diocese. Predominantly our congregation live in Silsden but we extend a welcome to everyone. There has been a church on this site since 1712.
Please see our website using the link below for up-to-date information about services and events.
Our vicar is Rev Simon.
We play a big part in Churches together in Silsden, alongside the Methodists and Catholics.
We also have involvement with several community groups such as Silsden Gala, and Christmas Market and Nativity.
"Our parish of Silsden: St James is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Leeds’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO (Deborah Thorley [email protected]) or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor ([email protected] or 0113 353 0257). If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
