The church does have heating for services.
In addition, every Monday (except Bank Holidays) between 9.00 am and 12.30 pm, our "Hub" is open in the adjacent Fane Hall where time can be spent having a a tea or coffee, chatting to others and participating in crafts. Play equipment is available for toddlers.

St Nicholas' Church is a Grade II listed building and is a fine example of the Arts & Crafts movement.

Music and Worship

We hold two brass band concerts each year.
The summer concert, "Brass on the Grass", usually takes place in the large rectory garden, unless the weather is bad, when it has to be moved to the church building.
In addition we hold "Brass at Christmas" about 10 to 14 days before 25th December. This usually comprises a mixture of carols to sing , interspersed with other seasonal music to enjoy.

Hymns at our main Sunday service are sung, accompanied by organ music.

Groups, Courses and Activities

This is currently taking place - contact Revd Julie Hardy for more information.

Whilst not a church group, the Guiding Movement use our adjacent hall for their meetings. We can put you in touch with the leaders if required.

See under "Warm Space" regarding our "Hub" on Mondays.
In addition we usually have tea and coffee after our regular services on Sundays and Thursdays.

The Hub takes place every Monday apart from Bank Holidays from 9-12.30pm. All are welcome. £1 bottomless coffee/tea and biscuits.

There is a Guides group that is independent from the church but uses our hall for its meetings. If you have difficulty finding contact details, we can advise.

In the longer school holidays there is sometimes an opportunity to play table tennis in our hall. Please look at our Facebook page and/or website

Mothers Union normally meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, between 2.30 pm and 4.00 pm, in our Fane Hall, next to the church. Please contact us and ask to be put in touch with the leader as, occasionally, an outing is planned in place of a meeting.

See other sections about our Hub that is open on Monday mornings.
