Remembrance Sunday Service

for 1 hour, 45 mins
St Giles Church Mountnessing
OLD CHURCH LANE Mountnessing Brentwood, CM131UN, United Kingdom

Every year, our community gathers at the Parish War Memorial to honor and remember those who gave their lives in service, as well as all who continue to be affected by conflict. Let us join together in silent reflection, gratitude, and prayer. Whether you come to lay a wreath, stand in quiet remembrance, or connect with neighbors, you are warmly invited to be part of this special yearly service.

Schedule for the Morning:

9:30 AM: Morning Remembrance Service inside the church

10:20 AM (approx): Tea and coffee break inside the church

10:50 AM: Regather inside the church before moving outside to the churchyard for the Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial

St Giles Church Mountnessing

We are an informal, welcoming church mid-way between Mountnessing and Billericay offering services that are in normal English (Common Worship), on the traditional side yet unfussy and prayerful. The church building is Grade 1 listed, mainly on account of its medieval belfry- this ancient church is a gem. Services are at 9.30 am and last about an hour.  Most people arrive 9.15-9.25 but you can slip in late. Health warning!: The heating is weak- dress up for outdoors and you won't be disappointed! No collection, no fuss but we have a card reader - donations appreciated.  The church has a toilet.
