Accessibility

Church Lane and the path to the building are both suitable for wheel chairs. The church building can be entered via the doorway on the north west corner which is unlocked during church services. The main entrance has steps which are not suitable for wheel chairs.

A folding wheel chair is stored within the church building. Please ask if you need to use it.

Our toilet is accessible and can be reached via an entrance on the north west corner of the church building.

We have a hearing induction loop for hearing aid users.

There is a car park with spaces for 40 cars to the west of the church building.

Our Building

St. Peter's is a Grade 1 listed building originally built at the turn of the 11th century. It is constructed from a mixture of stone, brick and pudding stone with a scattering of Roman brick.

Stained Glass

We have a toilet within the church building which is open to visitors during church services.


Music and Worship

The tower has two bells - a tenor bell and a smaller treble bell. They are hung both for swing chiming and for electronic stationary chiming.

There is an Henry James single manual organ situated in the Georgian gallery at the west end of the nave.


Groups, Courses and Activities

Our two youth groups meet fortnightly during term time in St. Peter's Church Boxted. Please see the Youth Groups page for details.

A Bible study group to which all are welcome meets in the Shepherd and Dog Pub, Moor Rd, Langham, CO4 5NR at 8pm on the second Sunday of every month. For details of other Bible Study and Prayer Groups, please contact the church office.


Help for Visitors

The church is open for private prayer during daylight hours.
