ST ANDREW’S BUILDING PROJECT

We are planning an official reopening and welcome day for neighbours and friends on April 25th. We hope many will come and have a look at the work we have done but also have chance to find out about other church and community activities which take place in our church and halls.

Having removed the asbestos we then discovered that some of the timbers in the pew platforms were rotten and needed to be replaced. This is now completed (see photo 1) and the floorboards and pews have been sanded and varnished (see photo 2). There is now a pulley system for the two large chandeliers so, no more climbing ladders to light candles just before our Carol Services this year!

The electrics are installed and once the pews are put back the new heating can be installed.
