TEA AT THE PALACE

Regular readers of this magazine will remember that we featured Peter Kelly receiving his British Empire Medal (BEM) at County Hall, Chelmsford, in recognition of his work in and around St Andrew’s churchyard.

Well, part of the award was an invitation for Peter and his wife Sue to attend a garden party at Buckingham Palace and this took place on Wednesday 6th May.

By all accounts it was a marvellous experience attended by several hundred people including the King and Queen themselves.

Apparently, the grub wasn’t bad either!
