Julian Meeting

Occurring
Monthly. Every Third Tuesday at for 30 mins
Venue
Thaxted Church Hall
Address
Margaret Street, Thaxted, CM6 2QN

1/2 of Silent Prayer, preceded by a short extract from the Revelation of Divine Love, Julian of Norwich.
We meet once a month for this, a small gathering currently. I can only say that I find the practice of being with others in silent prayer a very deliberate act, a very worthwhile time. I hesitate to say but the company and shared silence does feel as though filled with grace. This Julian Meetings website (see, 'more info' below) gives plenty of information.

Thaxted: St John the Baptist with Our Lady and St. Laurence

Welcome to Thaxted Parish Church, an active and friendly Christian community, with a tradition of Anglo Catholic worship, in a wonderful church building.

We are open for all and would welcome you to one of our services. Maybe try our "Open Doors" all age service on the first Sunday of every month at 10am or come along to our regular Sunday 11am Sung Mass on other Sundays. We also have a Said Mass every Wednesday morning at 10am.

Safeguarding

Thaxted Parish Church is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Chelmsford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

More information on our Safeguarding Policy can be found here: https://www.ttsrh.org
