On Saturday 6th September, people of all ages from across the Kings Ridge Parishes gathered together for a time of fun and fellowship at the Community Festival. Throughout the afternoon, more than 220 people attended, over 70 of which were children and young people.
The Inter-parish games, saw people of all ages engaging with Welly Wanging, hula-hooping, paper plane flying and hula hooping to name just a few of the games. In the church, those who wanted something a bit more relaxing were able to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with a slice of homemade cake, whilst listening to the organ. Alongside all this, there were treasure hunts, a variety of crafts, games, a bouncy castle, forest church and the chance to watch the videos created by all the parishes to showcase their churches.
Worship took place at 4pm in the barn, with singing from the Kings Ridge choir and a short drama thinking about 'What is church?' before we rounded off the evening with a shared Ploughman's supper and a visit from an Ice Cream Van.
A fantastic time in a fantastic setting.
