After our villages have held their afternoon services on Good Friday, we carry a large cross from Maypole Green in Long Preston up to the Edge on Long Preston Moor. This is truly a Walk of Witness with a difference - we keep silence en route, except to sing Good Friday hymns

The Edge, Long Preston Moor, Leave the main A65 road in Long Preston, passing the Maypole pub and taking the first left. After about 0.75 miles of climbing up the moorside, there is a space on the L for the parking of a few cars. The path to the Edge is on the R., United Kingdom

We greet the dawn of Easter Day once more at the Edge on Long Preston Moor. Bring your cameras for (hopefully!) some spectacular dawn views, but wrap up warm...
