The service is either Holy Communion or Morning Prayer according to "Common Worship" (the modern service book of the Church of England) with an informal service for all ages now monthly (usually 2nd Sunday of the month, but please check on these pages for details)

We are a small but friendly congregation worshipping in a beautiful village church whose origins go back over 700 years. All are most welcome: visitors or local residents, long-time churchgoers or those who are exploring their faith. We offer tea, coffee and conversation afterwards!

A service of Holy Communion from the 1662 Book of Common Prayer.

Join us as we join our prayers for our local community with the prayers of those who have used the traditional words of the Prayer Book at St Mary's for so many hundreds of years.

The service lasts 45 minutes and includes a brief address on the readings for the day.

After our villages have held their afternoon services on Good Friday, we carry a large cross from Maypole Green in Long Preston up to the Edge on Long Preston Moor. This is truly a Walk of Witness with a difference - we keep silence en route, except to sing Good Friday hymns

We greet the dawn of Easter Day once more at the Edge on Long Preston Moor. Bring your cameras for (hopefully!) some spectacular dawn views, but wrap up warm...

We celebrate Jesus' resurrection once more- the most important event in human history, and one that gives powerful hope today in our troubled world. Sparking wine and soft drinks to follow!
