It was announced on Sunday that, after careful consultation with the Joint Council and following much prayer and discussion, the Bishop of Bradford has granted our request to suspend weekly Holy Communion services at St Margaret’s from Sunday 18 January 2026. From that date, there will no longer be regular Sunday morning services. The Thornbury Centre will remain open as usual for the whole community.Reflecting on the announcement, Revd Calum Burke, Interim Priest-in-Charge, writes:“While this is sad news, change can often become a catalyst for new beginnings. Over the coming weeks, there will be opportunities for us to discern together the future shape of ministry and mission. Once the suspension takes effect, I warmly invite members and friends of St Margaret’s to make St James the Great, Woodhall their new home parish.”For any further enquiries regarding the suspension of regular worship, please contact the Benefice Office at: office@stjameswoodhallandwaterloo.org
