From 7 November to 24 December 2025, visitors can immerse themselves in a cosy, craft-filled atmosphere with over 60 independent businesses showcasing an array of unique arts and crafts. This year’s market promises a truly magical experience, with stalls featuring everything from artisanal gifts and handcrafted décor to sweet treats, food, and festive drinks. And the new Christmas Tree Ride in addition to the iconic Helter Skelter.

This concert will combine beautiful sacred Christmas music with secular pieces expressing the joy of the season. Benjamin’s Britten’s Ceremony of Carols for upper voices and harp is an annual favourite, this year being sung before Christmas instead of after.

The first half of the concert compromises sacred and secular pieces for choir and organ, combining the joy of the Christmas story with the excitement of the season.

The cathedral’s professional choir of boys, girls and lower voices will be conducted by David Hardie and accompanied on the organ by Ashley Wagner and on the harp by Rita Schindler.

Including many well-known carols and readings, this relaxed and interactive service will follow the story of Jesus’ birth.

This beautiful service in the days just before Christmas tells the story of God’s encounter with humanity, through Bible readings and carols. The music for this service includes some carols sung by Birmingham Cathedral Choir, and some sung by all.

Our Midnight Mass service is where we come together late on Christmas Eve to celebrate the birth of Jesus. This is the first service of Christmas and ends at about midnight. We will sing and listen to hymns and carols, hear Bible readings and a sermon, pray, and celebrate Holy Communion. All are welcome to this atmospheric service.
