Ascension Stirchley: Areas of Focus
Mission Action Planning
What we will see 2022 - 2026:
1. Growing Relationships with Local Young People and Families
- We will continue to grow our work and relationships with young people children and families in the local community. This work will have grown in number and we will have deeper relationships with young people and families.
- We will be more open, generous, and faithful in this work, while also being environmentally conscious.
- Open: We will be inclusive of all young people and families
- Generous: We will have explored ways to be increasingly generous in our support of local young people and families.
- Faithful: There will be continuity and reliability in our youth and families work.
2. Ascension Stirchley growing as a local, inclusive and accessible Christian Community
- We will continue to utilise partnerships with likeminded groups to better support local young people and families.
- Our worship, discipleship and life together will reflect our desire to be inclusive and accessible to all.
- We will have a more diverse offering of worship and opportunities to nurture discipleship and in events and our life together to enable us to be increasingly accessible to all.
- In 5 years’, time we will have grown in number and have a more diverse age range.
- We will have grown our “fuzzy edges” and will be engaging with more people in the local area, through our events, worship, youth and families work and partnerships.
3. Our Land and Buildings being developed to reflect who we are
- We will develop our land and buildings to better reflect who we are – open, generous, and faithful
- Ascension Church and Hall will be easily accessed by all. It will be obvious to the community that Ascension Stirchley is accessible, inclusive and everyone is welcome.
- Our physical environment will have a positive environmental impact.
