Details of services throughout Holy Week
We gather to remember the events of Palm Sunday, beginning with Jesus's arrival into Jerusalem, hearing the Passion reading and sharing in Holy Communion together.
We meet at the Dorothy Parkes Centre at 10am, or at church at 10.15am.
A sung service of Holy Communion, suitable for all ages.
A short, reflective service of readings, music and hymns as we turn our faces to the cross.
A service of Evening Prayer from the Book of Common Prayer.
Occasionally there will be an alternative service celebrating the seasons or other aspects of church life; please check the full listing for these details.
A short, reflective service at 7pm on Monday 30th, Tuesday 31st March and Wednesday 1st April, walking through the events of Jesus's final days.
A said service of Holy Communion with reflection.
Occasionally this service is replaced by Morning Prayer, said at 10am.
A new way of doing church for those who like to get crafty! Each meeting will involve things to make and do, some simple prayers, a story and drinks and snacks. Free and for all ages - children must bring an adult with them.
The session on 1st April is at the later time of 1-3pm.
A Crafty Church session for all ages, exploring the events leading up to Easter. There will be things to make, do and explore for all ages, refreshments and a chance to hear the Easter story.
All are welcome; children must be accompanied by an adult throughout.
On the night when we remember Jesus kneeling at the feet of his disciples, we gather to do the same; to wash feet, to break bread, to strip the altars and to wait in silence for the coming days to unfold. Come for a short time, stay for the duration; we'd love to welcome you to share in this special part of our Easter preparations.
A gentle walk around our parish boundary, with opportunities to stop and pray for this part of God's kingdom and its people. We gather for the walk at 12noon, and return to church for the final hour, beginning from 1.45pm.
Join in with some gardening, litter picking and general maintenance of our beautiful churchyard; caring for creation and for our community.
This year, we will be joining friends at Birmingham Cathedral for the Easter Vigil and confirmations, as candidates from our own parish are confirmed. Please come and support them!

A sung service of Holy Communion with Junior Church for 4-11 year olds.
This friendly and informal group meets once a month on a Monday evening at the Vicarage, to discuss and reflect on the coming Sunday's gospel reading together. You need no special knowledge, just a willingness to reflect, learn and listen to one another and to God.
Meeting on 16th February, 27th April, 18th May, 29th June and 20th July.
Meeting monthly after the morning service (12.15pm) and in church, this friendly group explores the day's gospel reading. We are a mixture of English and Farsi speakers, and can usually offer translation for those who would welcome that. All are welcome - we would love to meet you and explore the Bible together.
