During Dying Matters Awareness Week, this is an opportunity to pop in for a drink, some cake and a chat about death, dying, funerals and grief. Come as you are; to chat, listen, be still in our beautiful church, pray or light a candle.

Smethwick Old Church

Smethwick Old Church is both an historic building and a family of Christians. Built in 1732 using money left by Dorothy Parkes, our grade-two listed parish church is the oldest building in Smethwick - closely followed by The Old Chapel pub next door! We welcome people of all ages and backgrounds to share in worship, growing faith and work with our local community.

Smethwick OId Church is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO), Anne Mazungunye.
