Main Sunday Gathering

Occuring
Every Sunday at for 1 hour
Venue
Hodge Hill Church
Address
242 Coleshill Road Hodge Hill Birmingham, B36 8BG, United Kingdom

Our ‘All Together’* service, including holy communion, at Hodge Hill Church (B36 8BG). During Advent, the service includes a generous time of silence, for reflection and prayer, and a period in candle-light. After the service, there's a chance to chat over a cuppa, and also a space to reflect together on the themes of the day, and what's 'stirring' for us.

* One of the unique things about Hodge Hill Church is the different Christian traditions that have come together here. On 10th March 2019, we began a new phase in our journey here, using an order of service (or ‘liturgy’) for our main 10.30am service that draws on the riches of our different traditions (and from beyond the traditions represented here). This service offers spaces for reflection, and opportunities for everyone (of all ages and abilities) to actively participate.

Hodge Hill Church

Welcome to the website for Hodge Hill Church – a partnership between St Philip & St James (Church of England) and Hodge Hill United Reformed Church. We are committed to being an Inclusive Church and try to live out that commitment to God’s inclusivity in all that we do.

We meet at the ‘Blue Cross Church’ (242 Coleshill Road B36 8BG) every Sunday for worship (10.30am), but are also present and active in all kinds of ways in our wider neighbourhood.

Safeguarding

"Our parish of Hodge Hill is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Birmingham’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact our Parish Safeguarding Coordinator, Mrs Elaine Roff (07923 115407) or the Rector, Revd Al Barrett (07738 119210) or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor Steph Haynes (07342 993844), [email protected]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
