St Mary's Church, Cholsey is organising a Living Nativity for Cholsey's village community again this year on Sunday 7th December 2025.
There is no charge and residents of all ages are very welcome to come along and enjoy the event.

Everyone is encouraged to bring a torch or lantern and the children are very welcome to come dressed as a Nativity character.

The story of the birth of Jesus will be told by narrators and players, interspersed with community carol singing.

The story will begin at The Forty at 3.30 pm, move along to The Laurence Hall garden in Church Road, make its way to the church grounds and end up in St Mary's Church itself where a Christmas song will also be performed for the children by Nativity character puppets.

Finally refreshments will be served. A real donkey and some real sheep will also play their part and we hope this event will get everyone into the Christmas spirit.

If it rains, the event will take place entirely in St Mary's Church.

Please note that for safety reasons the church car park will be closed to general vehicle parking from midday on 7th December if the afternoon is dry and allows people to complete the procession along Church Road.
