Church of England Diocese of Birmingham Curdworth

Covid-19 Tier 4

31 Dec 2020, 12:15 a.m.

Acts of communal worship are still allowed within Tier 4 areas but will be subject to tighter controls in the interest of public safety. We will continue with a limited service on a Sunday morning at 9:30am, rotated around the 3 churches, led by the Rector.

The service will be very limited in scope and the priest will take communion on behalf of everyone. Face coverings will be mandatory and anyone who is not wearing one (even if exempt) will not be admitted. There will be no singing in Church.

Capacity will be further reduced so that only one person (or bubble) is/are in a pew. No interactions will be allowed between people and we will be very strict asking people to leave immediately at the end of the service.
As a result of reduced capacity it is extremely important that you advise Margaret Allen if you plan to attend any of the Sunday Services. If you are in the extremely vulnerable group, you are advised to stay at home.

Our online services will become our main focus through January and these will include 11:00am each Sunday together with Morning Prayer, Evening Prayer and Compline during the week. Details of all these services can be found in the Newsletter.

We very much regret having to implement these measures and assure you that they are taken in the interests of keeping everyone as safe as possible during these remarkable times.

Be aware that any changes to official guidelines may affect these planned services, but details and updates will be shared here and in the Newsletter.
