St Andrew’s Church of England (Voluntary Aided) Primary School and Nursery are seeking a new foundation governor, to be appointed by Holy Saviour PCC. The governors are particularly looking for someone with skills such as human resources, social media, diversity, legal, IT or ecological. Other skills – and life experience – are also welcomed. Because of the need to ensure a balance of people on the governing board, this vacancy is for someone who is not a parent of a child currently at the school. Foundation Governors help to support the school’s strategic direction, provide challenge and support to the head teacher, and ensure financial accountability. Additionally, foundation governors have a special responsibility to promote the Christian ethos of the school. This is a rewarding voluntary opportunity to contribute to the life of the school. A DBS check on appointment is a requirement.
