This talk by Christian Wolmar – writer, broadcaster and specialist in all things railway – will tell of the thousands of British and American railway engineers who, following the D-Day landings, laboured to restore the ravaged French railway lines in preparation for the liberation of France.

The talk will be followed by the usual amazing tea!
