Come and join the Clerks of Christ Church Cathedral for their third annual Christmas Concert! From contemporary works, to beloved Christmas classics, to kitschy new arrangements, Christmas with the Clerks is the perfect chance to get your festive fix of Christmas past and present (though perhaps not quite the future...) in our beautiful cathedral, with a complementary glass of mulled wine to accompany your evening. The Cathedral Singers of Christ Church perform Benjamin Britten's enduringly popular festive favourite, A Ceremony of Carols, alongside other choral treats - including carols for all of us to sing together - in their Christmas concert. Tickets are available through the link below.

This service of Five Lessons and Carols sung by the Cathedral Choir is presented by the Friends of Christ Church Cathedral, whose generosity in support of our mission and ministry is recognised during the service. All are warmly invited to join us, and no booking is required to attend.

Olivier Messiaen’s prayerful organ cycle responding to the birth of Christ forms the heart of this evening’s service which weaves the French composer’s nine musical meditations with readings and prayers. This special service replaces our usual worship offering of Evensong on this day.

Public tickets for our services of Nine Lessons and Carols are now fully booked. We are always delighted that so many of you want to worship together with us at Christmas, and we wish there was a way to fit everyone in! If you were unable to secure a ticket, you might like to join us instead on the 16th December for Five Lessons and Carols sung by the Cathedral Choir and hosted by the Friends of Christ Church Cathedral, or for one of the brilliant carol concerts or other special services taking place here this Christmas. Come along with your children to this interactive service of music and storytelling as we celebrate the Christmas story and journey to the crib. Followed by hot chocolate and cake (with vegan options available).

“Yea, Lord, we greet thee, born this happy morning”.In this traditional celebration for Christmas Night, we gather for the first celebration of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The preacher will be The Revd Canon Professor Luke Bretherton.

We warmly invite you to join us at the first of our two choral services on Christmas Day, sung by our Cathedral Choir. Our preacher will be the Bishop of Oxford, The Rt Revd Dr Steven Croft.

Worship with us as we greet the birth of Christ together in this joyful service. The sermon will be preached by the Dean, The Very Revd Professor Sarah Foot.

Join us for a restful said service of Evening prayer to close our celebrations on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
