Holy Communion on site of the medieval chancel

Occurring
for 45 mins
Venue
Dunstable Priory Church
Address
Church Close, Church Street, Dunstable, LU5 4RU, United Kingdom

On Thursday 14 August at 10am we will celebrate Holy Communion on the site of the medieval High Altar.
This is on the grass in Priory Gardens on the eastern side of the Priory Church (there is a stone in the grass marking the site of the High Altar). The yellow arrow in the picture above shows the approximate location.
Some chairs will be provided, but if you are able to bring a garden chair (or two!) that will help.
It's possible that this will be the first time since the Reformation that Holy Communion has been celebrated on this actual spot, so why not come along and become part of history?

Dunstable Priory Church

Welcome to Dunstable's ancient Priory Church, which has been a place of Christian prayer, worship and pilgrimage for nine centuries.

We are a growing congregation of all age groups. Everyone is welcome to attend our church services and events and we're always delighted when new people come along.

For recent updates, please see our Facebook page (Priory Church Dunstable).

Safeguarding

The parish of Dunstable is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officers (PSOs). The Diocese of St.Albans’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
