Whenever their is a 5th Sunday in the month we all join together at 10am to celebrate being one big family. We alternate venues between the church and the St Barnabas Centre, so be sure to see our website for the latest details.
As well as our morning services, we also have a quiet, reflective service on the first Sunday of the month at 5pm in the church. This is a time of music and prayer with focal points of activities to try if you want to………….or you can just sit quietly and reflect. Refreshments served before and during the service.

Traditional Service at St James Church
Every First, Second, Third, Fourth Sunday at 9 a.m. for 1hr
A formal, but very friendly service for everyone. Traditional services are held in the beautiful historic church building most Sundays at 9am where people have met, gathered and worshipped for almost 1000 years. There is a wonderful, spirit-filled presence of God in this ancient building. St James the Great is the oldest building in Thorley, dating from Normal times. The site also includes an ancient Yew tree in the Church yard, believed to be around 1000 years old. Please see our website for the latest details!
Come along for tea, coffee, cake and company. We regularly welcome joggers, walkers, dogs, babies, toddlers, friends meeting for a catch up and those looking for someone to talk to... First Friday of the month, 9.30- 12.00. We look forward to seeing you.

Informal Family Worship in the St Barnabas Centre
Every First, Second, Third, Fourth Sunday at 10:30 a.m. for 1hr 30m
If you prefer a more informal service, come along to the St Barnabas Centre at 10.30am most Sundays where there is plenty of space for everyone; worship with our friendly regulars who will make you very welcome; families with small children can find books and toys and space to play; and those who prefer a quieter space can sit in an area where they won’t be overwhelmed. Join in with us much or as little as you feel comfortable with. Children’s groups run most Sundays during the 10.30 am service and introduce young people to Christianity through games, activities, craft, drama, music and stories. The prayer ministry team is available during and after the service to pray with those who have specific prayer requests. Please see our website for the latest details!
