Inaugural HT 'Book Club' session proves thought provoking

Very enjoyable inaugural session of our summer book club today, where we shared our thoughts on 'Lydia' by Paula Gooder. This novel is based around the early Christian community in Philippi, as reported in Acts 16 and the letter to the Philippians. We talked about Christian forgiveness and Christian unity, as well as the challenges faced by the early church when they didn't have the gospels to refer to. Tea and biscuits were good too! Our next meeting is on Friday 7th August at 2pm, where we will discuss 'Phoebe', also by Paula Gooder. Do join us if you can!
