What a wonderful time we had on our parish trip on Saturday, to see the 'Threads Through the Bible' exhibition at Southwark cathedral. These silk panels depicting key scenes from the life of Jesus, created by artist Jacqui Parkinson, were thought provoking and enabled us to engage with the scripture in new ways. The amount of thought, detail and craftwork in each was incredible. We had a delicious lunch in the cathedral cafe and the day was perfectly rounded off by attending a service of Choral Evensong.
