On 27th November 2025, Westminster Hall hosted a National Emergency Briefing,
bringing together more than 1,200 invited politicians and leaders from business,
culture, faith, sport, and the media. Introduced by Chris Packham CBE, ten of the
UK's foremost experts addressed the audience on the threats posed by climate
change and nature loss - along with the opportunities from genuine emergency
action.

This National Emergency Briefing has since been adapted into a film for public
release: the People’s Emergency Briefing. The goal is to reset the national
conversation and secure a government-led televised emergency briefing from
independent experts - an essential first step towards the emergency action now
needed.

We are screening the film on Sunday November 22nd at 3pm at St John’s Church Annexe.
The viewing is free to attend, but if you do want to attend please book a place by
emailing [email protected] (recommended age 16+).

After the film we will have refreshments and an opportunity to share our reactions
and ideas.

See you there!

St John's Church, Lemsford

Welcome to our Church.

We are situated in the village of Lemsford, which is situated between Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield, adjacent to Brocket Hall. Our beautiful church has served the parish for over 150 years. We are a warm, welcoming and friendly church and seek to share the love of God in all that we do.

Whether you would like to join us for worship, or are thinking about having a special event here, such as a wedding or baptism, we would be delighted to see you at one of our services or social events for a chat. Otherwise please feel free to contact us by email.

The parish of Lemsford is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of St.Albans's safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advises our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm, please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
