St Bene't's Church

Welcome!  St Bene’t’s is a warm, welcoming community that meets for worship in the oldest building in Cambridge. Prayer and sacrament are at the heart of our Christian community. Our main Sunday service is at 10am with a sung Eucharist, with hymns, children's groups, and coffee after. There are daily services of Holy Communion and Evening Prayer, and the church is open 9am to 6.30pm.

St Bene't's is a diverse, multigenerational and engaged community, including a 20s & 30s group, study groups, children and youth groups, and an active ministry of mission and outreach. Regular courses and retreats for theological reflection and spiritual formation are an important part of our community life.

People come to St Bene’t’s from a range of backgrounds, with different gifts and experiences, and we welcome that and rejoice in the diversity of people God calls to follow him. So we seek to be an inclusive community, and to put into practice St Benedict’s teaching that everyone must be welcomed as Christ himself.   We are a member of the Inclusive Church Network and a recipient of the Bronze EcoChurch award (and working towards Silver).
