Church and Grounds

Wednesday Wonders at All Saints!

Every Wednesday morning, after Morning Prayer, a cheerful team gathers to keep All Saints Church looking its best.

From polishing pews to dusting corners, these quiet heroes make sure our sacred space stays welcoming, beautiful, and ready for worship.

Want to lend a hand or simply say thank you? Pop in after prayer and see the sparkle in action!

Because love is in the little things.

The Tuesday Tenders : Caring for God’s Acre

While some ministries happen in pews or pulpits, others bloom quietly among brambles, borders, and bird boxes.

On the first Tuesday of each month, a dedicated team gathers at All Saints Church from 10am to 12 noon. Then, on the third Tuesday, they do the same at St Edmund’s Church. Armed with gloves, tools, and good humour, they trim, tidy, rake, and refresh keeping our churchyards beautiful, welcoming, and full of life.

Their work is more than maintenance. It’s a ministry of care:

• For the families who visit loved ones

• For the wildlife that finds sanctuary in our green spaces

• For the passer by who pauses to breathe in the peace

• And for the whole parish, whose history and hope are rooted in these sacred grounds

Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just fancy a cuppa and a chat while wielding a broom, you’re warmly welcome to join in. There’s always something to do and always room for one more.

Come for the weeds, stay for the fellowship. And maybe a biscuit or two.
