An informal service of contemporary worship led by a worship group and making creative use of modern media. The Contemporary congregation celebrates Holy Communion on 3rd Sundays of the month.

The 1st Sunday of the month is Church in the Park for families all ages together congregation - please keep an eye on the notices for the location.

The Minster Evening congregation meets for informal and charismatic worship every Sunday.

There's space for extended worship, prayer and reflection and we share communion on 4th Sundays.

Taize Service is a service of song and silence, prayer and scripture, that leads participants to contemplate and celebrate . Silence is intentional.

Advent is a time of waiting and looking forward, both to the celebration of Jesus' birth, but, perhaps more so, to His sure return.
This choir-led service will use seasonal liturgy, along with Advent Carols (not Christmas Carols!), other choral music, and carefully-chosen readings, to help you enter into this very special season of preparation and expectation.

Members of the Minster Clergy team invite you for a glass of sherry or cup of tea and mince pie. Those willing will also be preparing the Christingle kits for Christmas eve.
Hosted by Prime Time.

Join us at the Merry Harriers for a great sing-along of carols and Christmas songs led by musicians from the church and the village. This is an outdoor event, taking place in the front of the pub. Drinks available from the inside bar, or outside for beer and mulled wine.

Additional parking is available in the Hambledon Nursery School carpark, next door to the pub carpark on the opposite side of the road.

Blue Christmas is a special seasonal service that recognises that Christmas with all its merriment and jollity can be a difficult time for many.

It is a service for those who experience recent or ongoing personal loss; such as the death of a loved one, relationship breakdown, divorce, illness, job loss and uncertainty, or loneliness.

The service seeks to offer comfort by acknowledging and honouring feelings of sadness and pain.

Our service will have a mixture of carols and readings to tell the Christmas story; prayers which acknowledge pain and emptiness alongside the Christian hope;

a reflection which gently speaks of light in darkness.

We keep the length to no more than 40 minutes, and leave times of silence. We also stay seated throughout the whole service, to avoid any embarrassment of knowing when to stand.

Refreshments will be served at the end if you’d like to stay.

Some background
Nine Lessons and Carols is a service of Christian worship traditionally celebrated on or near Christmas Eve in Anglican churches. The story of the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus is told in nine short Bible readings or lessons from Genesis, the prophetic books and the Gospels, interspersed with the singing of Christmas carols, hymns and choir anthems.
